Our Story
It started in 1974 when Rubio Martinez started installing flooring in Cortez, Colorado with a simple belief: do the job right, treat people fairly, and the work will speak for itself. That philosophy took root in the Four Corners community and never left.
Over the decades, the business grew — not through shortcuts, but through reputation. Neighbors told neighbors. Contractors called back. Schools, restaurants, and homeowners kept returning because they knew what they'd get: quality materials, honest pricing, and craftsmanship that holds up.
In 2024, Doug and Nick bought the store to carry on that legacy as the third generation of the Rubio Martinez's family. The tools have changed, the product lines have expanded, but the commitment to the Four Corners community remains exactly the same as it was on day one.

Co-Owner, 2nd Generation
Doug started installing floors at age 8, working side by side with his father Rubio. Decades later, he still brings that same hands-on dedication to every job — overseeing installations and upholding the quality standard Rubio's has been known for since 1974. He also handles the customer side of the business, from estimates to project management. His goal is simple: make sure every customer feels taken care of from the first call to the final walkthrough.

Nick learned the craft the right way — on the job, working alongside his father Doug and grandfather Rubio. That hands-on foundation shows in every installation his crew delivers: precise, clean, and built to last.
